0 CGRundertow VANESSA SAINT PIERRE DELACROIX & HER NIGHTMARE for iPad Video Game ReviewVanessa Saint Pierre Delacroix and Her Nightmare review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Vanessa Saint-Pierre Delacroix and Her Nightmare from Bad Pilcrow and Replay Games for the iPad. Vanessa is essentially a puzzle platformer that happens to take place on a Rubik’s Cube. You play as little Vanessa, a strange young girl who ends up trapped inside an even stranger world. She platforms on the flat panels of a cube, and you can rotate each panel. This obviously changes the layout, but it also opens up routes to the other sides. It’s pretty brilliant. Oh yeah, and Derek kept blabbing about Expressionist film influences because he’s an art dork. This video review features video gameplay footage of Vanessa Saint Pierre Delacroix and Her Nightmare for the iPad and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

Classic Game Room – HEAVY FIRE: SPECIAL OPERATIONS for Wii review

0 Classic Game Room HEAVY FIRE: SPECIAL OPERATIONS for Wii reviewClassic Game Room HD reviews HEAVY FIRE: SPECIAL OPERATIONS for Nintendo Wii from the Wii Shop Channel. This download WiiWare game is like Operation Wolf meets Modern Warfare. Set in Somalia, you shoot “terrorists” or something… basically pop up targets that pose a minimal threat. Heavy Fire is an arcade style shooter on rails with predictable gameplay and functioning controls. Play single player or co-op with a friend. Shoot enemies for points but don’t expect much variety in game play, locations or enemies. Heavy Fire is a bare bones budget light gun style shooter that gets the job done for an affordable price, but true arcade gun game aficionados should look elsewhere. This CGR review of Heavy Fire Special Operations on Nintendo Wii has gameplay from Heavy Fire Special Operations Wiiware on Nintendo Wii showing on rails shooter game play.

CGRundertow YACHTY DELUXE for iPad Video Game Review

0 CGRundertow YACHTY DELUXE for iPad Video Game ReviewYachty Deluxe review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Yachty Deluxe from Rubicon Development for the iPad. Yachty Deluxe is a game that toes the line of copyright infringement without ever actually crossing it. This is a copy of the popular Milton Bradley dice game, only with a few letters switched around. Otherwise, it’s just Yahtzee in iPad form. If you’re looking for a basic Yahtzee game without all the extra crap, Yachty Deluxe is a solid alternative to Electronic Arts’ official version. You’re given three single player options, a pass and play mode for two players and an option for online multiplayer. There’s no crazy characters or silly animations…there’s just Yachty. Not to be confused with Yahtzee. All copyrights belong to Hasbro. This video review features video gameplay footage of Yachty Deluxe for the iPad and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

CGRundertow – SNIPER ELITE for Nintendo Wii Video Game Review

0 CGRundertow SNIPER ELITE for Nintendo Wii Video Game ReviewClassic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Sniper Elite from Maximum Family Games for the Nintendo Wii. Sniper Elite originally released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2. If it doesn’t bother you that this is a port of a five-year-old game from the previous generation of consoles, you might have a decent time with Sniper Elite. Of course, even then, that good time is dependent on how open you are to playing games that feel as dated as they look. Sniper Elite is a tactical third-person shooter in which you play as a sharp-shooting American operative in the middle of enemy territory. Disguised as a German, your mission is to prevent the Soviets from taking the Nazis’ atomic blueprints and recover them instead for the Americans. This video review features video gameplay footage of Sniper Elite for the Nintendo Wii and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

CGRundertow THE MAGICIAN’S HANDBOOK: CURSED VALLEY for iPad Video Game Review

0 CGRundertow THE MAGICIANS HANDBOOK: CURSED VALLEY for iPad Video Game ReviewThe Magician’s Handbook: Cursed Valley review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of The Magician’s Handbook: Cursed Valley from BC Soft Games and G5 Entertainment for the iPad. The Magician’s Handbook is a traditional take on the hidden object genre. The background images are mostly static, and there are no fancy animations or cutscenes. But what it lacks in presentation, it makes up for with its gameplay. It’s a bit easier to find what you’re looking for, and the game also throws some puzzles into the cauldron, as well. The idea is that each collection of levels has a set amount of objects you need to find in order to learn a new spell. It’s a nice touch that emphasizes the magician theme as well as diversifies the gameplay. This video review features video gameplay footage of The Magician’s Handbook: Cursed Valley for the iPad and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.

Classic Game Room – RAINBOW RAPTURE review for Xbox 360

0 Classic Game Room RAINBOW RAPTURE review for Xbox 360Rainbow Rapture review. Classic Game Room reviews RAINBOW RAPTURE for Xbox 360 from the Xbox Live Indie Channel. Rainbow Rapture is an indie game that can be downloaded for Xbox 360 where you play as a bitter cloud who eats people for creating the color grey! Yarrr! Rainbow Rapture gameplay is similar to many mobile games such as Tiny Wings and Dragon, Fly! but it has a clever hook and graphic style coupled with silly music that make it worth a buck. CGR Rainbow Rapture video review has Rainbow Rapture Xbox 360 indie game gameplay in HD action.

CGRundertow SPIRIT OF WANDERING: THE LEGEND for iPad Video Game Review

0 CGRundertow SPIRIT OF WANDERING: THE LEGEND for iPad Video Game ReviewSpirit of Wandering: The Legend review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Spirit of Wandering: The Legend from G5 Entertainment for the iPad. Spirit of Wandering is a hidden object adventure game with a pirates theme. This game was originally released to the PC. Rather than a list of objects to find, you’re given a group of outlines. Actually, you get two groups of outlines. Not a word in sight. I guess pirates can’t read. The first group is a collection of common items, and those are the ones you have to locate first. So you look at the outlines, and you find the corresponding objects in the picture. Then you move on to the cherished items. This video review features video gameplay footage of Spirit of Wandering: The Legend for the iPad and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.
