Classic Game Room HD reviews HEAVY FIRE: SPECIAL OPERATIONS for Nintendo Wii from the Wii Shop Channel. This download WiiWare game is like Operation Wolf meets Modern Warfare. Set in Somalia, you shoot “terrorists” or something… basically pop up targets that pose a minimal threat. Heavy Fire is an arcade style shooter on rails with predictable gameplay and functioning controls. Play single player or co-op with a friend. Shoot enemies for points but don’t expect much variety in game play, locations or enemies. Heavy Fire is a bare bones budget light gun style shooter that gets the job done for an affordable price, but true arcade gun game aficionados should look elsewhere. This CGR review of Heavy Fire Special Operations on Nintendo Wii has gameplay from Heavy Fire Special Operations Wiiware on Nintendo Wii showing on rails shooter game play.

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Sniper Elite from Maximum Family Games for the Nintendo Wii. Sniper Elite originally released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2. If it doesn’t bother you that this is a port of a five-year-old game from the previous generation of consoles, you might have a decent time with Sniper Elite. Of course, even then, that good time is dependent on how open you are to playing games that feel as dated as they look. Sniper Elite is a tactical third-person shooter in which you play as a sharp-shooting American operative in the middle of enemy territory. Disguised as a German, your mission is to prevent the Soviets from taking the Nazis’ atomic blueprints and recover them instead for the Americans. This video review features video gameplay footage of Sniper Elite for the Nintendo Wii and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.
