Classic Game Room HD – RETRON 3: SNES, NES and GENESIS Game Console Review Pt1

Part 1 of 2 (part 2 coming 7/25). Classic Game Room HD reviews the Hyperkin RETRON 3 video game console that plays Super Nintendo SNES, Nintendo 8-bit NES and 16-bit Sega Genesis video games. It even has S-Video (which works for Genesis and SNES) as well as standard composite video. The Retron3 comes with 2 wireless controllers which are acceptable for NES games but have poor Genesis button mapping. More importantly though, the Retron 3 allows you to play with your original controllers for Genesis, NES and SNES!! Now, that’s a feature!! This CGR review of the Hyperkin Retron 3 shows gameplay from several video games including Gaiares on Genesis, Ultraman on SNES and Zanac on Nintendo Entertainment System NES. This video shows the s-video quality of the Hyperkin Retron3 compared to a modified Sega Genesis Model 1 and demonstrates the audio quality. Video quality is very impressive and audio is not bad, although it lacks some of the dynamics that the original Genesis produces. Overall performance was awesome and CGR thinks that this console should not be overlooked when shopping for replacement old school systems. Flexibility, quality and original controller compatibility make the Retron 3 a bombastic classic video game console.

What gaming console should I get xbox 360 slim of playsation 3?

The new xbox is $450 NZD and the ps3 is $545 and xbox live in NZ is $80. With this information which one do you thing I should you get. I was going to get the elite xbox but they were sold out so I have to choose out of these two

Ps3 Pros:
1) Quiet
2) Motion sensitive controllers
3) You can use any Bluetooth headset, keyboard, mouse, etc….
4) Blu-ray
5) Lack of flashing lights on front of machine!
6) Built in wi-fi card
7) HDMI included
8) Free Online Community and Game Play
9) Tech support speaks english and appears to be located in America, they understood my name and my question.
10) Controllers come with built in rechargable battery and can be charged with any usb port.
11) easy to navigate menus
12) No ridiculous power brick, one cord, if you want to take your ps3 with you somewhere you only need the controller, the unit and the power cord.

Ps3 Cons:
1) No IR receiver, you can’t use your regular universal remote to control the ps3 you need a bluetooth which means an extra remote.
2) Shape, this one sounds stupid, but the rounded shape of the ps3 really annoys me because you can’t stack, say your wii, or even lay your remotes on top of the unit. (maybe you shouldn’t do that anyhow LOL)
3) Less games, or at this point I guess the better point would be less games made for the ps3, instead of built for the xbox and ported to the ps3, this is however changing and in the future will be less of an issue.

Xbox 360 Pros:
1) Great online setup, lots of features which some may miss on the ps3, many probably will not
2) great game line up with a head start on ps3
3) Easy to navigate menus
4) Native Netflix Support

Xbox 360 Cons:
1) Noise
2) Build Quality
3) Online service is $50 per year.
4) Tech support, I have called xbox live support several times, it is impossible to get them to understand what the issue is or even my name, I even gave up once.

you can buy easily this online:

Nintendo 64 Console Review – Ethos Video Review

Once known as the Ultra 64, the Nintendo 64 was released in September of 1996. With its flagship game Super Mario 64, the N64 became a major success – pitting itself against the Sony Playstation and the less successful Sega Saturn. I take an in depth look at one of the finest systems ever produced – by discussing some of its interesting facets and features – as well as some of its best games. I also briefly discuss cartridge gameplay VS. early disc based gameplay. Take a trip down memory lane and look back at one of the systems that ushered in the 3D era of gaming. Thank you for watching!

do i use my WAN or my LAN information for setting up my xbox gaming console with embarq modem?

ok well im trying to set up my xbox 360 to work with my embarq modem so i can play xbox live. but i am not sure how which of the following to use for my console the WAN information or the LAN information if anyone can give me an answer to my question it would be greatly appreciated.

here is the link i am using that gives me the instructions these instructions are or a xbox not for an xbox 360 but i believe it should be the same for both.

http://www.myembarq.com/files/embarq/support/GamingConsoles/xbox_static.php

WAN stands for wireless area network.
LAN stands for local area network. (Hard wired)
So if you are going to connect it wirelessly use WAN. If you are going to hard wire it use LAN. I hope this helps.

I need information on the xbox natal as I have a xbox 360 console already?

In the xbox natal is it going to be attached to an existing xbox console or do i have to buy a new console. Also what will be the price for the xbox and the natal device. when will it get released and can i also play games with the controller if i do not switch on the natal only the xbox. what all games will be available on the natal?

Before I answer, I need to explain that the Natal is now officially known as the Kinect. Anyways,
1. The Kinect will connect to your console; you do not need to purchase another one.
2. It will be realeased November 4th of this year.
3. It can be preordered for $149.99 (and I imagine the final price will be around that, as well).
4. It seems a Kinect and Xbox 360 Elite bundle will be $399.99 (yikes).
5. I do not believe the Kinect will take over your Xbox; that is, no, you do not have to use it.
6. A complete list of games, straight from Wikipedia:
Adrenalin Misfits
Child of Eden
Dance Central
Dance Masters
Deca Sports Freedom
Fable III
Forza with Kinect
Grand Slam Tennis
EA Sports Active 2
Game Party in Motion
Kinect Adventures
Kinect Joy Ride
Kinect Sports
Kinectimals
Michael Jackson The Game
Milo and Kate
Motion Sports
Sonic Free Riders
Star Wars with Kinect (working title)
The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout
UFC Trainer
YooStar 2
Your Shape: Fitness Evolved
Zumba Fitness

Hope all that helps!

Asalieri At The Console: SNES Game; The 7th Saga Review

Well here it is, my first attempt at reviewing a videogame
rather than a reviewer. My first to add to the already
oversaturated market of videogame reviews.

Here’s hoping you like it! I am aware I went well over my imposed limit in the contest, but look at it this way; since
I am supposed to be judging, It would be unfair to have
an entry in this, and so this isn’t really an entry, it’s more a video for naysayers and requesters alive to realize I can indeed review.

Today I chose a much unloved game, 7th saga, a game
that turns no heads by todays gaming standards, but i’m here to set the record straight for you haters.

Let me know what you think! and as always, thanks for watching!

oh thank goshhH!! that reassured me so much!! :) ))

She shouldn’t be able to see anything. The only thing on the disks nowadays are the actual games. Every saved setting, saved data, and such, is safely saved onto your own console.

Can you claim video games as a business expense if you write reviews for them?

I would be setting up a website, and wait to get paid from advertising.

If you are paid for the reviews and then yes.
